Behind the Bar
In addition to our hand crafted beer selection, we also offer a full bar and classic cocktail menu.
Broad Street Black Lager
this lager accomplishes the rare feat of being both roasty and refreshing simultaneously. Hopped with traditional Hallertau Mittelfruh Hops and fermented with our house lager yeast, this beer has been slowly lagering for the last eight weeks
Pier 53 Pub Ale
A light bodied but slightly toasty European mild brewed to honor Pier 53, Philly's own version of Ellis Island
Brewed deep beneath the Earth's crust (aka in the basement ten feet below you), this is our take ona classic American IPA. Brewed with Citra andAmarillo hps. Malt forward caramel notes with a finish of resin and pine
THE PEPPER IN THE RYE
Brewed with a psychosis-inducing amount of rye and local buckwheat from Deer Creek malting company. Fermented with our house mixed Saison culture and conditioned at cellar temperatures for 5 weeks with dried orange blossoms and black peppercorns
TAIL WAGGIN' WHEAT
A classic Bavarian Wheat beer hopped with Halltertau and Strisselspalt hops, and brewed with our great friends at the Pennsylvania SPCA. Sweet, phenolic, and easy drinking, this beer is perfectly suited for bringing a crowler to the dog park on a hot day
Morse Service Session IPA
Long before we put a brewery in the basement of this building, it housed the Morse Elevator Co., one of the leading elevator service and manufacturing companies of its time. This beer was brewed in a tribute to that uplifting past, with a low ABV and a relatively high contribution of Motueka hops, making for a crisp and flavorful Session IPA. This beer, muh like the elevator business, definitely has its up's and down's...
An incredibly aromatic IPA brewed with the zest of a hundred lemons, lemongrass, and dry hopped exclusively with Lemondrop Hops. Citrus character is present but not overwhelming, blending with full hop character and low bitterness that finishes crisp and refreshing.
A delightfully sweet golden ale brewed with heaping helpings of wheat, oat, and lactose, then dosed during secondary fermentation with vanilla and over 5 gallons of cold brew coffee. Layers of sweet complexity give way to refreshing espresso notes, mimicking the experience of drinking your favorite iced coffee. Caution: Definitely contains caffeine!
