Behind the Bar
In addition to our hand crafted beer selection, we also offer a full bar and classic cocktail menu.
Broad Street Black Lager
this lager accomplishes the rare feat of being both roasty and refreshing simultaneously. Hopped with traditional Hallertau Mittelfruh Hops and fermented with our house lager yeast, this beer has been slowly lagering for the last eight weeks
Pier 53 Pub Ale
A light bodied but slightly toasty European mild brewed to honor Pier 53, Philly's own version of Ellis Island
Down Under IPA
A variation on our house favorite Subterranean IPA, this brew keeps precisely the same malt bill we love so much but switches out all of our usual American hop varieties for Southern Hemisphere ones. Nelson Sauvin, Motueka, and Rakau hops are all primed to take a beer you might already be familiar with and turn it on its head.
THE PEPPER IN THE RYE
Brewed with a psychosis-inducing amount of rye and local buckwheat from Deer Creek malting company. Fermented with our house mixed Saison culture and conditioned at cellar temperatures for 5 weeks with dried orange blossoms and black peppercorns
TAIL WAGGIN' WHEAT
A classic Bavarian Wheat beer hopped with Halltertau and Strisselspalt hops, and brewed with our great friends at the Pennsylvania SPCA. Sweet, phenolic, and easy drinking, this beer is perfectly suited for bringing a crowler to the dog park on a hot day
A delightfully sweet golden ale brewed with heaping helpings of wheat, oat, and lactose, then dosed during secondary fermentation with vanilla and over 5 gallons of cold brew coffee. Layers of sweet complexity give way to refreshing espresso notes, mimicking the experience of drinking your favorite iced coffee. Caution: Definitely contains caffeine!
Our amped-up take on a classic farmhouse style ale, this summer delight drinks like a dry wine, with an ABV to match. Brewed primarily with German Pilsner and Munich Malts, the malt forward character is tempered by two weeks of conditioning atop local PA wildflowers including chamomile and violets.
A simple and beautiful malt bill of German Pilsner and Maris Otter pave the way for us to agressively hop this beer with doses of Meridian and Hallertau Mittelfruh hops, allowing for a balanced but pleasantly hoppy beer, with the clean crisp finish of a lager.
